The Holy Ghost Part 3

Here is another important description of the Holy Ghost, and I hope you will get It right.

The Holy Ghost is a SEAL

Ephesians  4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Ephesians  1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

When you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it signifies that the Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed you with His own Blood, and has made your body His dwelling place. Therefore you become a part of Him.

You now have eternal security within your soul. You are now complete in Him, a truly heaven-bound creature.
You have now received the Spirit of God which gives you eternal life.

You either have the Mark of God which is the Holy Spirit, the Seal of God or the Mark of the Beast which is the Mark of the Devil.

Why? Because those who are not sealed with the Holy Ghost receive the Mark of the Beast.

Revelation  9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the SEAL of GOD in their foreheads.

Revelation  19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the MARK of the BEAST, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

The Mark of the Beast is not some kind of tattoo you receive on your forehead or on any other part of your body.

The Truth About Women Preachers

Nowadays people spend countless hours arguing about God’s Word usually in an effort to try to have their own ideas or what their church believes to be adopted by everyone. People are now trying to interpret God’s Word in such a way that it will not offend them or violate their church creeds and dogmas.

But the most important thing to do is to simply say what the Bible says for it is life to believe God’s Word in its fullness and death to compromise a bit.

So as we have now seen the importance of taking all of God’s Word, let us explain the truth about women preachers in the light of God’s Word.

Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

This is what the Bible says, and these Scriptures were not for Paul’s day only because Paul never said that they were. Of course in consideration of this day that we are living in, we may be tempted to believe that Scriptures like these are no longer relevant but they are not because its God’s Word, and It needs no corrections!

Why did God through his servant Paul forbid women to teach or to have authority over men?The following Scriptures give us the reason:

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

1 Timothy 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

In the garden of Eden, Eve was sweet talked by the serpent to disobey God’s Word but Adam was persuaded by Eve to do thing which he would not have done thus becoming part and parcel with Eve in committing the forbidden act.

So because Eve being the first one to be deceived by the serpent, God made another covenant with man which puts a woman under the authority of men, automatically disqualifying her into assuming positions of authority in the church thereby resulting in her being forbidden to preach.

A woman may have spiritual authority over women and children but she cannot have authority over a man.

Due to social and political emancipation of women, people are now taking other sources other than the Bible which allow women to preach.

The devil is fooling these people through these influential mediums the very same way that he used in the garden of Eden that is using man’s wisdom to interpret God’s Word instead of the Holy Spirit to interpret His own Word. Wisdom results in carnal interpretation of God’s Word which will result in a person or a group of church leaders compromising with the Word of God.

The devil uses social and political pressures to con you into disbelieving God’s Word. As a Christian you must shun those misguided elements which believe that the Bible is wrong in forbidding women to hold positions of authority in the church.

A woman can sing, testify, speak in tongues, prophesy or have any or all of the nine Spiritual gifts:

1 Corinthians 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

This is what God says about women preachers but if you think that I am wrong or Paul was wrong, please consider this:

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Ghost Part 2

We have seen that the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of power. Now let’s explain another Biblical description of the Holy Ghost.

THE HOLY GHOST IS THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH

JOHN 14:26-“ But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name, he shall TEACH you ALL things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

JOHN 15:26- “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of TRUTH, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of ME.”

JOHN 16:13- “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of “TRUTH”, is come, He will GUIDE you into “ALL TRUTH” for He shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and He will SHEW you things to come.”

God gave the Church a leader which is the Holy Spirit to teach us, and guide us into all truth because a man cannot lead another man because a man is born in sin, and shaped in iniquity, and came into the world speaking lies.

The way we are born was not God’s way of reproduction, it came as a result of Eve disbelieving God’s Word by doing what the serpent told her was right which God had forbidden her to do. Death struck the human race because Adam and Eve did what God told them not to do. That is why the way we are born is corrupt because it is not God’s way of reproduction.

Anything that comes in any way other than God’s provided way is corrupt, and it will produce nothing but death.
So God being rich in mercy provided a way by which man could be saved from being eternally separated from God, which is through His own Blood He shed for us on Calvary. But for us to have eternal life we must be born again, and the new birth is God’s life dwelling in a person in the form of the Holy Ghost.

This Holy Ghost now dwelling in a man teaches a person to obey God, and believe His Word. A Holy Ghost filled person believes every Word of God.

If you don’t believe all of God’s Word, you are no better than the Pharisees because they did not believe God’s Word in its fullness, they tried to mix It (God’s Word) with their traditions and it brought forth death. That is why Jesus Christ told them that their father was the devil, because they tried to mix God’s Word with their traditions, the very same thing people are doing today. You will never mix God’s Word with creeds and dogmas, and then enter the kingdom of God.

Matthew  5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

To exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees is to believe God’s Word not because you have to, from a mental conception believe but you believe because the Word of God has been revealed to you by Spiritual revelation.

Without the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, you can never have your eyes opened to a true Spiritual revelation of the Word. A man without the Holy Spirit is blind to God and His truth.

‘Man cannot live by bread alone but by every Word that comes out of the mouth of God’, said Jesus. Therefore if you compromise with the Word of God, you die spiritually, that is you become eternally separated from God because you cannot live with some of God’s Word, life comes by believing every Word of God no matter how heretic it might seem to be.

Acts  24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
So God knowing that a person’s character is to try to dodge His Word, he gave us the Holy Ghost to be our leader, to guide us into all truth so that we will never be eternally separated from God which means that we will be given eternal life.

A Holy Ghost filled person teaches you to do what the Bible says do without compromising a bit. He will not tell you that this Word was for another day or this Word violates human rights as defined by a corrupt man, who is spiritually dead.

The Holy Spirit gives us the power to overcome temptations because It is our constant reminder of the Word of God, and It gives us strength to overcome.

1 John  5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 

5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 

5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

If you’ve been baptized in an unscriptural manner you must be rebaptized according to Acts 2:38, and God will by His sovereign grace baptize you with the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth.

John  8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  

John  14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Holy Ghost Part 1

Some have been Christians for years, yet they don’t even know what the Holy Ghost is. Others mistake the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be the Holy Ghost Itself.

Let us explain the Biblical descriptions of the Holy Ghost beginning with this post I have entitled The Holy Ghost Part 1.

THE HOLY GHOST IS THE SPIRIT OF POWER

Acts  1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The disciples went into an upper room in Jerusalem, to wait for the power of Holy Ghost to come upon them (Acts 1:13-15). Ten days later the Holy Ghost fell upon them, and they were filled with the power of God to the extent that they could heal the sick, and raise the dead.

When a person is baptized with the Holy Ghost, he or she can lay hands on the sick, and they will be healed; and these signs shall follow them that believe (Mark 16:17). There is nothing that can stand in the way of a Holy Ghost filled person, John  15:7  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Because He (the Holy Ghost) that is in them is greater than he (the Devil) that is in the world: 1 John  4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

A person can receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and then fail to demonstrate the power of the Holy Ghost. They have got the power but It only need the key of faith to unlock the power within them.

Satan can impersonate every gift of God to the extent that one can even speak with tongues, heal the sick, and prophesy without being filled with the Holy Ghost. Therefore to have a gift of the Holy Spirit like speaking in tongues or prophesying does not necessarily mean that you have the Holy Ghost.

A person who is anointed with the wrong spirit can do signs and wonders because of the law of faith (Matt 17:20). He or she may even think that it’s the power of spirits that are anointing them doing it, but its not. THEIR faith is the one doing them miracles.

This explains why a person can perform rituals or enchantments in order to do miraculous things; in fact his faith is the one doing them things. Why? Because the law of faith states that if you say whatever you want to happen and don’t doubt it, it’ll happen instantly or eventually, depending on your level of faith.

That is the reason why Jesus warned us of false Christs:

Matthew  24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

These false christs (anointed) ones cannot deceive a believer because he knows God’s Word, and can test whether the anointing on a person is of the Holy Spirit by the Word of God.

Any spirit that denies God’s Word, a part of It or all of It is of the devil: 1 John  4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

The Holy Spirit acknowledges the Word of God because It is the One that inspired men who wrote the Bible therefore It cannot deny what It said:

2 Peter  1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The New Birth

At one time Jesus was asked by Nicodemus what he meant when He said that a person should be born again in order to enter the kingdom of God:

John  3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Let’s start by explaining what Jesus meant when He said we must be born of water.To be born of water simply means to be baptized by water.

According to the Bible a person must be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, this is in accordance with Acts 2:38.

When Jesus told his disciples on Matthew 28:19 to baptize in the NAME of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, he meant the NAME which was of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, one NAME!not in the NAMES of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

So what is this NAME??

The NAME is Jesus Christ!!

HE (Jesus Christ) is the One who is described here by Isaiah 9:6:

Isaiah  9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus Christ was God in human form, no wonder why He told his disciples that if you saw Him you had seen the Father:

How did Jesus answer Philip’s question?

John  14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

God himself created himself a body in the womb of Mary, which He was going to dwell in so that He would be able to die for our sins on Calvary.

He could not do this in Spirit form, hence the creation of a body in Mary’s womb which He could dwell in:

Acts  20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the HOLY GHOST hath made you overseers, to feed the church of GOD, which he hath purchased with his OWN blood.

The Lord Jesus Christ is GOD:

John  3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 
3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

How could Jesus say that to Nicodemus if He wasn’t God in human form?Only God is the one who’s omnipotent and omnipresent.
Jesus said that to Nicodemus so that he would realise that he was speaking to God himself.

The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ in Spirit form:

Matthew  28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I AM with YOU alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Lord Jesus Christ of the New Testament:

John  8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, BEFORE Abraham was, I AM.

That is why everyone should be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is very important to be baptized according to Acts 2:38 because that is the only baptism which is recognized by God. That is the reason why Paul had to rebaptize the disciples who were at Corinth:

Acts  19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
 
19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
 
19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

The Bible shows us that a person is baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by immersing:

Acts  8:36  And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

Acts  8:38  And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down BOTH INTO the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Acts  8:39  And when they were come up OUT OF the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

To be born of the Spirit is to be baptized by Jesus Christ with the Holy Ghost:

Acts  8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit is the Life of God coming into a believer to guide him into ALL TRUTH:

John  16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost seals us into the mystical Body of Jesus Christ:

1 Corinthians  6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Corinthians  12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

My Bible My Absolute

There is no other book in the world, ancient or modern, that tells us where we came from, where we are going, and where we are now in God’s plan, like the Holy Bible.

The Bible is a collection of sixty-six books written by forty different authors over a period of 2,000 years, yet it is clearly one Book with perfect unity and consistency all throughout.

The individual writers, at the time of writing, had no idea that their message was eventually to be incorporated into such a Book, but each nevertheless fits perfectly into place and serves its own unique purpose as a component of the whole Scripture.

Men of old, inspired by the Holy Ghost, wrote the Bible.

Reverend William Marrion Branham at one time said, “Now, the only way that a church can be built, the only way that a man can have Faith, is not by his denomination, not by his affiliation. But his Faith rests not upon the theology of some man’s ideas, ’cause it’s, more or less, altogether man. But the only way Faith can find it’s solemn resting place, is upon the immovable and unchangeable Word of God.”

II Peter 1:20-21, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.”

Mark  8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

John  8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Revelation  22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Revelation  22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Revelation  22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Therefore the Holy Bible is My Absolute, and YOUR Absolute!!
